My mom thinks i'm cool
I have a ys1. i took it apart to put a phantom grip in it. THe output shaft does not spin. It didn't spin when i got it. I'm about to put it in my car. My question is should the trans output shaft be spinning freely or not?

you mean input shaft?? there is no output shaft. . .
if you are talking about the big shaft that is in the middle of the bellhousing that your clutch is attached to, then yes, it should spin, even if the trans is in gear it should move.

so what happens if it dosnt spin,

then something is jammed on the inside the tranny, or the trans was improperly re-assembled.

i see, i had a problem like this before. but i never got a chance to install the tranny do i didnt kno if it where bad or not

it shouldn't cost much to take it to a tranny shop or at least someone who is very mechanically inclined to manual transmissions in order to find out what the problem is.
