I just noticed the 4G will be gone in the EVO X and replaced with a 4B11...which I assume is similar to the Outlander motor (4B12)

I always thought if they were going to ditch the 4G, they'd go with a small 6...but, hey, whatevah

the mini car is cool

... yup, it's got classic Mitsubishi fit and finish on the body panels and doors.

Same as toyota shelving the 2JZ, the 3SG(T)E and the 4AG(Z)E.

They tossed really good motors.

Even Ford stopped dropping their DOHC V8s in the mustang. What a combo these companies could have if they went back to it.

I still think that what autocompanies need to do is go to some autocrosses and watch what these guys are doing in old 80s hatches.

In all the newer cars, I think they tried to make the engines with less metal, and replace iron with lighter aluminum. Just my theory. Everybody does something for a good reason, it just depends on who's making the decision. In this case, probably the bean-counters.
