ticket 1 comes in...
ticket 2 comes in...
ticket 3 comes in...
ticket 4 comes in...

all saying "please have ready for monday"

wtf.

you had all day to send me shit, and you wait till theres an hour left in the day to send me these things?

bah.............

at least you never had to drive 45 minutes at 8 a.m. to go to some old bitches house for an appointment, talk to her for 2 hours, then say "i'm just thinking about what to do in 5 years".

I feel ya though. people are stupid and don't have respect for the employees.

At least you don't deal with cracked out, alcoholic's weed smoking high school drop outs all day. The people that are trusted to pour the foundations for homes, schools and businesses around here are all tools. Its scary how bad these people are. So yes in essence customers/clients for the most part suck.

Dude I know. And Shady! I fucking hate how shady they are. Fuck we had a gun stolen from us a while back, then a hose. Turned out to be the fucking siders. Yep happened again. Siders jacked our hose. I caught them though. I'm not big, but I gave them a shit storm. Spitting and yelling. Threatening to kcik thjem off the job. etc. Big shit storm.

At least you don't have to drive 45 minutes to get to a customers location only to find out the big emergency they couldn't figure out was the fact that they just put the call on exclusive hold and didn't know how to retrieve the call.

True story & I hate exclusive hold.

Nothing is worse than:
"So when are you planning to do this?"
"I wanted it done last week."
Two hours later...
"You guys have convinced me. You are the ones I want to build my $13,000 deck. I want you to start next week. I will call you later in the week to sign contracts and get the ball rolling."
"Wonderful, talk to you then Mr. Balls"
That was in August...still sitting by the phone.
Hell, my aunt went through the trouble of having professional plans for her screened in deck, and got her homeowner's association's aproval, to leave us sitting by the phone.
But it is better than having that corporate thumb holding me down.

dude contracting is one of the hardest feilds to go into. Custs fuck suck. "YA its only gonna take my guys 20 extra hours to move those two walls, So then why is it gonna cost me 2500? Cause the fucking permits have to be revised and the jobs gonna be held back 2 weeks."

Working in the food biz, we get these two every now and then.

the name of the store is Ledo Pizza.

*ring ring*
us "ledo pizza, how can I help you?"
caller "do you guys sell pizza?"

*ring ring*
us "ledo pizza, how can I help you"
caller "hold on, I need to look at the menu"

WTF!

Well i am glad to see we have all had shitty clients and customers. I have talked to numerous concrete finisher's that are drunk off there ass or smoked a couple of bowls at 9 in the a.m.

Being drunk that early is bad. But there is nothing wrong with starting the day off right! A bowl, or two or three, isn't going to affect most people's work. Might take a little longer.....
But you definently shouldn't be able to tell they have toked, or i wouldn't use them. Appearances can make you or break you.
They have a Visine for that....

pot on the job is not okay production drops by 50-80% (qoute from OHS, And WCB Studies). As of Jan 1/07 I have drug testing fro all employies. (rates went down by2% when this began)

The problem with these guys smoking pot is the fact that they are building structures. So these dumb asses shouldn't be doing any thing to impair there work, other people can be greatly affected because of there mistakes.

WTF!

i hate the people who bitch about the delivery charge. and think i personally can do something about it. or the poeple who think the delivery charge is a tip

I was just talking to a sales man at work about tips. Why do delivery people get tipped?

Because that's how they make their money working for 5.15 an hour. Why wouldn't they? They're expending their gas and money to bring your lazy fatass some food. :)

From a construction note of an actual job I worked on a few weeks ago - the customer specified that the certain part have a full-radiused tip, with a hole drilled in it - and that the tip be anealed. Anealing is heating the part to make it harder. Later on in the printed plan, it states that the parts must not be subjected to any extreme heat, as the customer material is extremely sensative to heat expansion and contraction, and that the O.D. and I.D. specs could vary.

Needless to say we ended up losing the order because the sales rep didn't understand how we couldn't accomplish the production to the print.

We also get work orders comming down the line for large numbers (2500, 3500, etc) that have been stalled in management for months - but pushed out 3-4 weeks before they are due to ship. Many of these carry labled lead time of 5-6 weeks. Production gets yelled at for not making orders on time.

:werd: and cause i bust my ass to make sure everyone gets their pizza within 30-45 mins (they get quoted around 45 at the store) even when its stupid busy. and if its dead, i can get people their food in 15-20 from the time they place the order. ive had countless people tell me how quick i am, and they usually tip good for good service. as opposed to some of the people who i deliever with who take an hour per delivery (more for me :))

i always tip the pizza guy min. $5. the other day i got pizza and wings and it was 22 something, and i gave him 30, told him to keep it. he looked at me like i was on crack.

i'm like dude, its 1:30 am, probably your last run.... thanks for coming out.
