AT P30 convert to MT??

Hey,
I've been asking this question for a while but no one seems to know wtf i am talking about ... I recently bought an AT P30 ECU to work w/ my B16A3, and I NEED TO CONVERT IT TO WORK W/ THE MT... How would I do this, and is it necessary?
I've heard of people on the forums saying the AT ECU can work, and it shouldn't matter, but i don't wanna screw it up on hearsay...
I've been trying to research this for some time now, but I've had enough of it already... I just wanna know how to convert it... Any help would be better than none at this point. :DEX: walk through, pictures, ANYTHING:D
Thanx

You need to convert it to MT. An AT ECU will allow the car to run... run like absolute shit.

Thanks and that answers one of my questions. It was used with a B16A2 AT. I have it right here in front of me and it says:
37820-p30-901
471-200061
Still gotta change it over to work with my B16A3 MT, and how to do it... Involves desoldering/soldering, what, where, how???

For that you just need a diagram of both and literally make the AT look like the MT. IDK where to find those diagrams though.

should just have to desolder the resistor at rp17 and jump rp18. ecu's will normally run both auto and manual just the only differance is the auto will look for the auto parts but run the same or close to it.

I believe this is a JDM ECU because it's manufactured by Denshigiken, and made in Japan. ... I can completely see the similarities but everything doesn't quite match.
I see the R17, R18, but the problem i see right off are the jumpers. They are in a single row and not 2 like the pic in that addy you posted... I wish it were that simple though lol:D...
But i'm trying to attach 2 pics of the ecu from a 7.1 megapixle cam. However this forum is not letting me cuz the files 2 big... i'll keep trying but if I can't then someone please contact me back on Aim @ silly46, or sill46@hotmail i'm usually on, and will be for the help on this one. After I send you the pics open them in windows picture viewer and enhance... I'm now all ears to see how this will work...

if i see you on today i will try and help you out. i should be on all day since i keep AIM runnign in the background while i'm at work.

your board looks liek this right?

PC030021.JPG

... and theres another thats attatched to the bottom right corner of this picture; and it's connected by the wire strip... That side is where I can see the R17, R18 resistors...

then this is what you need to do for the RP's

RP17 and RP18 values
Manual
RP17 open
RP18 jumped

you see that once rp17 is removed and rp18 is jumpered then it becomes a manual ecu and ignores everythign on the board for the auto transmission.

Awesome and thanx. Iv'e got one more question though and iv'e prolly earned a noob title today lol... But what is jumped? What would I use?

good question, not everybody knows what it means. so when i say "open" it means to remove the resistor from that location and "jumped" means to take a piece of wire and put it from one hole to the other hole on RP18. then BAMM your auto ecu is a manual.

Yay

:D:D:DGreat!! Thanks everyone who helped out w/ all this... It was that simple and all I needed to know was what, where, how.. Simple answer for a simple question, is it not? haha. Here im think wtf are these people kiddin me, makin it seem like a mess of crap to deal w/ .. Hopefully now I can just drop my new B16A3  in and everything be sound. more than likely however i'll prolly be back haha. TY AGAIN!

It's that easy? I thought it was more elaborate than that.

nope it's that easy, i do it all the time. there are more parts involved in it then that to make it an auto but to make it stop looking for them thats all you need to do. when i do it i usually take out a few other parts as well because they can be used for vtec conversions on p06 and other non vtec ecu's.

hey man,
do u actually lower rp 18's value? i came across

https://hondaswap.com/~pills/autotomanual.html

& they actually mentioned for jdm ecu's we need 2 lower the particular value.
so was wondering did u actually do it or the ecu run just fine w/o the procedure.
any comments anyone?

Hey,
Thats a good question... I researched the sh** out of converting an AT to MT ecu. To be honest I don't know if you are right or not. I just removed R17, and jumped R18 just like in the thread. When I jumped R18 I cut a piece of resistor wire and soldered it...
If you are right then I'm glad someone spoke up cuz I'd never of known... Let me know if u find out anything more about this.

talk to this guy im having him do my ecu he will charge u 80 dollars plus 10 ship and he will chip it in any kinda way u want he will take out the revlimiter convert from at to mt or visa versa or
