nah. after how cake my job is and my recent raise i doubt i could go back to manual labor :)

cakewalk job?!?!

Tool crib attendant's job...starts at $22 ish an hour...

Sit at a desk on second shift from 3:00pm till 11:30, 30 minute lunch, watch guys bring in a chit, and take a tool. Have a computer in front of you. Then watch them bring the tool back and they take their chit back. And the only real labor is to leave the tool crib at the end of the shift and check tool boxes for 20 minutes. Then sign off that all the tools are in the boxes. Go home and do whatever...and get to work the next day.... The hardest part of the job is getting to work on time. And when you have perfect attendance...then there's 4 hours every quarter that goes for next years time off, and an extra $100 in your paycheck 4 times a year...thats $400, and two days off. Let alone the ot pay which I have explained and posted in detail.

I guess some people don't want free college. And that shift and job is the perfect job to do homework...or take to classes online and get a degree.... And not to mention the $5000 in company stocks you will receive for each free degree you attain...

I wish I was young again and started at that job....

But I can't complain...since I'm 5 years into the company and I'm pulling in major money....should I say that my current paycheck I got last night already has me sitting at 9Ks for this month? And a week and an weekend to go.... I should hit about 11Ks this month alone... but the OT from the X-mas shutdown set me up for the first week of the year... Triple time for 3 days + a $1000 for working X-mas.

Sikorsky sucks because they don't hire you unless you know someone high up.

Fuck those scumbuckets.

union dues.. $58 a month. Strike happened once in 30 years, and we got back on our feet after that... and I've had no dealings with the union...

But the deal is...if your good with learning a new job, young, responsible, and want to land a start of a career...then apply. I know more jobs are coming as well, since Sik has almost too much work for the current workforce, and were popping up other plants to maintain the work..and there are a lot of people retiring each year...hell out of my hanger, 5 guys retired this year. and that will boot me up a position when they get really busy.

checked and resent, I'll get you further info when I get back to work tonight

Celerity is just mad because they don't hire Mensa certified leprechauns....:clover: :harhar:

damn straight, those fuckers. Dude, if you had the time I've had applying there, you would hate them to. Seriously some of the shit they've done to me is lawsuit worthy.

And now, I can piss on all but the highest 2 labor grades offered by Sikorsky.
