ey whas happenin everbody, i just needed a lil help/opinions for my 93 del sol...i wanna do the swap but not sure what engine to go with, i have a budget i dont wanna spend more then about 1700 couple my ppls say i shud go LS on boost, or a GSR or just stick with the b16....anyone help me out on wha i shud do???

btw right now i have a sohc non vtec 1.6..its not the orig. motor it was swapped by previos owner from a 97 del sol

you won't be able to do a swap and boost for less than $1700 unless you get a really good deal on the swap and turbo kit.

if i was you, i would get a b18b (ls swap) and put i/h/e on it. it would be in your budget, stay reliable and give you good power for daily driving.

it would be hard to find a legit gsr for $1700. b16's come around rarely for that much. but then you have to pay for all your fluids and any other little bits and pieces that usually add about $200 to the swap.

i would just go with the ls swap. but that's just me

yeh thas wha majority of ppl were sayin...i mean here(orlando) u can find good deals on most engines my homeboy bought a LS for 600 w/ tranny ecu and harness etc. im edgin towards gsr but if i cant then i for what i pay for ill prob go LS...i was readin also bout LSvtec...wha wud be the betta way to go LSvtec or LS on boost

depends on how much power you want. if it is just daily driver on a budget, you could do the ls swap and get a gsr head later for $600. ls on boost would give you a lot more power but it would also cost a lot more.

sounds good i think i might do that..good looks man ima see if anyone else got advice as what to do...

+1 on that
you have to start with a plan (1) a budget (2) a reasonable hp goal
