90/91 crx si, these pretty rare to come by? 2950 for a clean one good deal?

not too rare.. its rare to find them stock.. and for 3k it better look like it rolled off the showroom floor clean..

the longer you look the more youll find
be patient and you find a great one
i waited and got a super clean all stock 91 for 1500
check out craigs list
the si isnt that rare

They're not that rare, but $3k for one, depending on your location isn't bad so long as it doesn't have any body damage or rust. I'd pay $1k for a rust free CRX shell in pristine condition....still waiting on that to happen...

I picked mine up a 90 si for $700 clean exterior and interior...just didn't have an enigine...Be patient and def. look around because ur always going to find a good deal somewhere

yeah youu just gotta be patient, dont rush it. . . it'll happen when it happens

i bought both of my crx's for about 1100 for the both of them an hf and an si the si is gonna definatly be a donor car due to copious rear end damage

It really depends on the condition, I found my 91 DX about 7yrs ago living in a garage, stock, 35k original miles, I paid about $5k then. I just rolled about 83K miles and it still looks as good as the day I got it, not rust etc.. If you keep an eye out you'll find something worth your while

I found my 1990 honda civic HB si on craiglist. It was sleeping some guys backyard with original honda civic car cover. Black on chacoal grey all ORIGINAL parts. But he said it has a fuel problem. Reset the ECU and the car has been running fine. It was sweet deal he wanted only $600 dollar cash. Did the carfax on it CLEAN TITLE. No dents or rust spots.

ya, wish I would have known more about Honda's when I bought mt 91 civic si hatch. Paid 2k. 80k on motor(does run strong) not sure how many miles on tranny, sometimes slips out of 2nd . 205k on chassis. Has some small rust holes,
Car is stock besides I/H/E and 17"s.
How ignorant I was, well people are always willing to rip the other guy off so o'well. Ill take my lost and look for something else, and use it in the winter. Things gonna rust out anyways.

if ur looking at car from rear, left side has quarter size rust hole on wheel well, and where side skirt meets wheel well there is shot glass size rust hole.

right side has it worse, where side skirt meets the wheel well, 12' long chunk is gone, continue under where it connects underneath car, that is gone.( i didn't notice this when i bought car:()

id take some direct pics, but my dig cam hit the hay. heres what my car looks like, the pic is dark, so u dont see everything.

i think it depends what it had done to it. i bought mine for $2,500 with a d16y8 swap, coilovers, 15" spoon replicas, barely any rust and a sound system which i gave to my brother to put in his bimmer because the 12's weighed like 70lbs!! so ya it depends what you are getting. sometimes i regret buying my car when i see other clean crx's for cheaper but then i think about the cost of the suspension and the swap and the sound system and i think it was worth it. plus it looks sexy. if you don't NEED to buy it right now and you don't think it is worth it then don't buy it. be patient.
