Is this a USDM or JDM engine? The differences will be the engine harness, as the B21A1 is OBD1 and the B20a5 is OBD0.

All you will need to do is swap all your external parts from your old engine on the the B20a5 engine. Once you pull your engine if you have two engine stands, you should be able to compare the differences, which will be very minor.

Both engines will have all the same bolt holes and patterns. So, keep all your original external engine parts ie...intake manifold, egr, powersteering, altenator(unless you want the newer one) etc..

You will need to keep the engine harness from your old setup as, the B20a5 has some differences.

That is about all I can say, if you need more help come over to www.preludepower.com we have the biggest 3rd gen community by far with the most helpful information.

no you don't have to change your harness unless you wnat to use the B20A5 intake mani or you want to convert to OBD0. which is not what i would recommend.

1Funryd is correct. but allow me to be more specific. what sean means is you will need to switch these parts from your B21A1 onto your B20A5.

intake mani
exhaust mani
thermostat housing
use your old tranny

that's about it! now go get your hands dirty.

hey Sean (1Funryd)
