I parked my 1991 NX in my friend's driveway, got drunk and passed out on his couch. 5:00 am we're all woken up in the house.

THUNK

I had no idea what it was. Sounded like a plane crashing (I've been near a single engine during a crash). We ran out of the house and into the backyard... nothing there. Couldn't find anything. It's cold, so we go back in and walk past my NX, and take notice that there is a 6 foot tall icycle poking out of the hood near the firewall.

Then it dawns on me what the hit was. The icycle prolly weighed a couple hundred pounds, and had pieces of shingle attached to the top, with wood. Looked up to the 4th story roof and the chunk was missing from the corner. The icycle took out my hood, firewall, cowl, windshield, driver's side fender, mirror, intake and exhaust.

My only "act of god" policy.

hey, if I can constantly get in trouble by association, then I can blame God by association for everything.

But if you think about it, most of the ice... especially that large of a chunk is going to start forming while the plane is sitting on the ground, is going to be the fault of the non-spraying asshat who is supposed to be spraying the de-icing chemicals on the planes.
