Ok I live in pa but i drive to exit 19 on 80 for work. Lately i have seen the staties standing or sitting in there car with the door open and aimings something at on coming traffic. No i have a radar detector and i usually get all the cops that are hiding. but for some reason these cops are standing up in plan open view and my detector is not going off. what is it that they are doing, and why doesn't my detector pick them up?

I've been busted by that thing. Its some kinda long range radar. I was busted from about a half mile away. He clocked me at 115, then 105 then 85 and so on.... He gave me the ticket for 85, which was nice of him.

I didnt know you worked in Hackettstown mang, I work 10 more miles down. maybe we'll race on 80 one day :D What car do you commute with?

does your radar detector also have a laser detector? cuz if it doesnt have a laser detector...then it wont go off when they are shooting laser

Where Sean and I live is the boonies, Hackettstown looks like NY city compared to East Burg

I lived in Mansfield/Port Murray area for awhile. Quiet lil town :)

normal crownvic cop cars are only capable of about 130mph. their higher gearing for acceleration limits their top speed.

You can't get pulled over if you can loose them.

*looks over at E*
"Fuck, should we wait for Bill?"
"He'd bail if it was us, let's roll"
"werd"

Wouldn't higher gearing be better for top speed?
I thought lower gearing was better for acceleration.

You cannot out run a radio though.

[radio chatter]"umm i got a black..... ummmm something or other.... it was heading east on rt 6... im not sure if he turned off but i cant see him any more.... he went by me doing about 80 and took the hell off when i pulled out after him... last i saw him he was rounding the corner near the top of the hill at about 140 or so.... when i got up there he was gone... he might be in Hartford, Avon, Plainville, or who the hell knows where by now.... im gunna need an APB on any small black car in a 30 mile radius... and i guess move that circle out 2 miles every minute based on the rate of speed he was traveling at... i guess that little sonuvabitch thought he could out run a radio"[/radio chatter]

yep im scared of the radio
ive ran from the cops more times than i care to think about... not once have they cought me when i decided to run

im a far better driver with MUCH more training, in a faster better handling car... the only chance the cops have of catching me is a hellicopter... and CT doeesnt have them (well theres one but its never close enough to make a difference)
