What clutches are you running for your h22 setups? I just took my car out to the track and found my clutch to be way to weak. I'm running just an exedy O.E replacement and wondered what you guys ran as a street/strip clutch.

im running centerforce dual friction. is pretty good but not the best. doesnt slip or anything but im sure there is better out there. i know a lot of honda guys that run the exedy clutches. not sure what series. but they all love theirs

Yeah, I've been looking at the exedy, but they dont really say what hp or tq their rated at. I'm wondering if I've got something that should be matched with the f22.

What kind of tires are you running with that clutch as well, I've got dot drag radials on. Thats most of the reason the clutch was slipping cause the tires never did.

I have an ACT Stage 3. I love it! The damn thing grabs as soon as you throw in the next gear and release. If you can afford it, put in a phantomgrip LSD! I unfortunately didn't have the extra dough! But ACT is pretty good and since installed, I haven't had a bit of lag in engagement. There are other good clutches out there all depending on your set-up and price range!

whoa whoa whoa slow down. for one honda and act dont get along that well espically for daily driving. alot of their products are too harsh and could cause crankwalk! and phantomgrip is a worthless piece of shit. if you want to break your tranny then you need to go with the phantom grip. if you want a real lsd you need the quaife, kazz, or even obx. the phantom grip locks your spider gears and that is badddddd.

so you drive around on drag radials? those are a little over kill for daily driving. i drive on the nitto neo gen tires. i have slicks and dr's for the track

Nah, the the drag radials are dot, but I just use them for the track. I need to get better tires for daily driving though mine are just about bald.

I've actually been looking into zoom clutches, I dont know how good they are for honda stuff, but they've been around for a long time. My dad has used their stuff before, but it was for a chevy.

Oh, how do you like those nitto? I've heard good things about them for daily driving. Do they wear quick?

nittos are great tires. and yes the wear fast. im pretty hard on mine and they lasted about 3 1/2 months

Well, I haven't had any problems out of it so far and I've had it in for over a year!! Could it be one of those things that people just blame it on the brand because they can't figure any other reason for the problem?!! The only problem I have had was with the clutch bracket (since my car was originally an auto). On the LSD, I was trying to think of quaife, but the name wouldn't come to me at the moment. I just spit out phantomgrip.

I wasn't trying to convince the guy to go right out and buy an ACT. I was just saying what I had and how I like it. There are a lot of good clutches out there and everyone is going to have different opinions. I'm sure that's why he opened the thread, to get people's opinions!

lol im not condeming you because you bought the phantomgrip or the act but for a dd there are better options.;)

Thats exactly why I opened the thread, to see how people prefer a different clutch and how well it has performed for them.

I would like to know how long you've both been running those clutches. My car is a daily driver and I put about 300 miles a week on it, but I also want a clutch that can hold up to daily driving and still hold power when I'm launching at the drag strip. And I will be going boost in a few months making no more than 325hp.

they lasted about 3 1/2 months
Damn. thats pretty quick wear.

ive had my centerforce for 2 years and no probs but like i said its not the greatest.

ya the neo gens have a low tread wear rating
