they had a few interesting interviews with "Get out of Iraq now!" celebrity types

they were asked the question "What do you think will happen if we leave right now"

the best they could come up with was "I'm concerned about the people that are dying right now"

The truth is the people who are dying right now, the majority of them, are terrorists and insurgents, before we got to Iraq the majority of people who were killed were christians, and anti Saddam people. Innocent women were raped, innocent children were killed.

here's a fun fact, WWII ended 60 years ago, we're still in Germany. My point is if you stay in it for the long haul you can win

Jane Fonda wants us out of Iraq, she is credited with leading the celebrity change to get us out of Vietnam. Well after w left 3 MILLION south Vietnamese were murdered in retaliation

Of course that is what happned. When you take the one spoke out of the wheel that holds every thing together what happens when you remove the spoke and dont replace it? Some other crazy ass is going to step in and be worse than the one before. Im curious as to whats going to happen to Cuba when Fidel dies. If we leave now Iraq/Afganastan are both going to implode. Now everyone will say "Oh wait if we would have never gone in in the first place they would have been fine." But look at Sadams past and terrorists in general. Iraq, Iran, and Afganastan are all places that have harbored terrorists. How was Iraq better off with a crazy fuck that killed them on a whim? At least we are introducing a new way of thinking. Somthing they have not been allowed to experince in how long?

Most of your post is right on, however, this is not. Look it up and I am sure that you will find that Saddam killed far more Shi'a than Christians.

Well the Shi'a were grouped into my "Anti-Saddamist" statement, they are the majority of the population and were second class citizens for thirty years (the third class belonging to the Kurds).

That brings up another good point, generally when someone as evil as Saddam is finally overthrown the repressed people under that regime would engage in near genocide against the supporting people of the former dictator (the Sunni). While there has been violence in Iraq we have so far avoided all out civil war or Genocide and that must be seen as a good thing if you're being objective. Double so when you consider how much of a revenge minded people Muslims are
 
That is a good point. The whole country has not been casted in civil war. Hopefully we can prevent that from happning. Our presence along with our allies is keeping Iraq from tearing it self apart.
 
Afghanistan is where we should have stayed. There was plenty of ass begging to be kicked over there.

Finish one job then move to the next.
 
i can assure you we are still in Afghannyland whooping plenty of ass... and i have several friends still there doing it that would agree and would be more than happy to and inform everyone that while it doesnt get headlines we are still there doing quite a bit of work

I'm quite aware of that, but our main force should have been focused solely on that area until it was completely cleaned out instead of trying to fight two battles at once.

Snag O'l Sammy, then get Saddam. Saddie didn't fly planes into our buildings.
 
Saddam threatened attacks on US Soil, and Saddam,unlike Bin Laden (Who I'm so happy to see that you can comically refer to him) works with a government, an army, and a capital.

Another blanket statement for which you have no proof. You might get away with substituting Arabs for Muslims, but even then this kind of over-generalization is still wrong. It is like me saying that all Italians are liars, or all Irish are drunks. It is a cultural misconception but it persists because people pass it off as fact.

Also, yes, blanket statements work. Most Irish people drink quite a bit, Jews are financially adept, Russians are strict, French are cowardly, Americans are bold and Icelandic are pious.

And Muslims, by and large, are angry vengeful assholes.
 
and I have a newsflash for you, I come from a huge Irish family (6uncles, 7aunts), we're ALL drunks lol

My own prejudices??? Nice try, but I don't come from the same camp that you do. It was a simple comparison showing that cultural prejudices are not applicable on the individual scale. This is especially funny coming from someone that knows exactly 0 Muslims. Even better is that all you have to back this assertion up are the words of some _very_ slanted "news" anchors. Keep the prejudice up and you will earn yourself another warning.

If blanket statements are correct < 50% of the time, why not go with em? Prejudice isnt "Prejudice" if its true. . .
