Is the unmodify '94 Civic EX engine harness plug right in with NO modification needed for the following set up?
-'91 CRX DX
-Already converted to OBD1 JDM ITR engine
-Chipped P28 ECU
Thanks for the help. BTW, I'm a newbie here and I just register:)

hello!

well i do believe it will bolt right in.
ahhvetc knows more about this stuff than i do but i'm about 95% sure you're good to go.

I am a little confused on what your question is. Are you asking if the harness on your motor will plug into your CRX harness without any problems? If so I would guess the answer is no. As to your second question, I am confused on that as well. Do you mean a complete suspension swap? If so I would think that is a no as well. But like I said your questions are alittle hard to understand. So i may be way off base.

particularly for OBD0 cars, engine harnesses are not interchangeable between models and sometimes not even between different years of the same model - for any swap, you need to use the engine harness that came with your car and make any necessary wiring changes to it

If you are looking to put the 94 harness into the CRX it won't work. If the car was converted to OBD-1 then just swap that harness to the motor. Other wise you will need to convert the car to OBD-1. No matter what you need to use the harness that came with the car.

Thanks guys for the input. The car WAS an automatic DX model and it was converted into manual. However, the automatic harness still being use:( . Since the P28 is OBD1, the '94 Civic EX is OBD1, The engine is OBD1, why CAN'T they work together???

they can...can't they? i'm kinda confused on that now...i'm pretty sure if you converted to obd-1 you should be fine...as for the wiring harness, you're fine. the harness is no different in an auto or manual. but yeah...clarify the last question a bit and we can help you.

the CRX DX chassis harness does not have the wires in it, running to the engine bay, that are required to run MPFI - the only engine harness that will plug into your CRX DX chassis harness and work is the 90-91 CRX DX harness - you will need to make the DPFI to MPFI wiring changes to the DX engine harness (add 2-wires for injectors, add 2 wires for Cylinder sensor, extend wires for TPS and swap a couple of them around, extend wires for the EACV and swap wires around at the ECU connectors), change distributor plug, extend wires and swap connectors for the cooling fan switch, extend wires for the MAP sensor, buy an OBD0 to OBD1 ECU jumper harness, add wires for VTEC and add wires for the 4-wire O2 sensor - i am probably forgetting something, but that will get you started

Thank you for the...... info. Buttttt, I don't really get it. Who care what body/chassis car you have. As long as there is a right connection between the brain(OBD1 ECU), the messenger(the OBD1 wiring harness) and the worker(the OBD1 engine), the car will run...right???
