Sometimes throughout the day, i find myself dragging ass. I go to bed around 9:30 or 10 and wake up at 4:30. I work in an office and when things get slow, I get really sleepy. so what can i do to get energized. I work out 3 times a week already and I eat healthy to. Starbucks is right next to the office, but I dont' want to resort to caffeine too much.

Any ideas? And don't say shit like, "smoke crack" or anything stupid.

Not enough sleep. You're missing about an hour and a half of it. Other than that, caffeine is god. Eat lots of fruit during they day, get those natural sugars. Anything pasta or has a lot of carbs will do the trick too.

i understand the sleep part. but damn, it's hard going to bed around 8pm. i toss and turn. i think some people are just energetic people.

I find that I get tired when I'm simply not stimulated enough. During training sessions I will nod off so bad that it's impossible to stay awake, and I pretend I have a bloody nose or something and leave.

Black Black gum FTW!!!

its "hi - technical" :)

I hear ya man. I get up at 5am and usually pass out around 11-12. Red bull works for me. I drink the new 12oz one in the AM and eat a small breakfast. Then a good lunch and I feel fine. I dont start crashing till the long ride home.

Celerity is right though, when I get bored at work I get tired too. Hondaswap helps with the stimulation ;)

try moving around during the day
walk around the building or something to get your heart rate from falling flat on its face

omg, 6:30????????????

who the fuck starts work at 6:30?????????????????

seriously, i'd quit. lol

if i get here before 10, its an early day. lol

i have to be at work when the stock market opens. i live on the west coast so i have to be here at 6:30 versus 9:30 if i lived on the east coast.

That's the problem. You go to bed late, get really saggy during the day, eat/drink some caffeine products and then you're wired until you're up too late.

Stop the cycle. Go to bed earlier, have an energy bar/coffee/soda in the morning, watch your caffiene intake in the middle of the day and then go to bed 8-8:30.

8 hours of sleep per night.
Eat breakfast, and during the day, fruit, whatever.. If you are having trouble getting to sleep, try running a couple of miles before bed. Its healthy and good for you, and will burn off excess energy and make you sleep better.

And drink red bull. that shit is awesome.

omg! you're alive. that definitely woke me up. and i like red bull. they have the new 12 oz. cans to.

hire a stripper that flashes you when you start to dose off then have her smack you in your junk with a torque wrench :D

1) Dried fruits and nuts. Snack on them. They provide protein and good energy. Healthy too, of course.

2) Walk around. Like the others said, sometimes, it's just sitting too long... So get up, stretch, walk and get a drink or something.

3) Check the rest of your diet. Don't eat grease. If you're eating fatty foods or very starchy foods for lunch, you'll find you get tired easier... so, try eating better. :p

i don't think you're missing an hour sleep. some people need 8, some need 6 or 7. if you wake up feeling rested and don't get groggy, that's not the issue. i personally work best off 7 hours sleep. :)

Hope this helps.
