B16A2 Engine/Head Identification??

My brother bought a B16A2, Is it JDM? So say it is and others say its not.
What is the original head thats on a b16a2? PR3? or is it something else?

As far as I know, the b16a2 is a USDM engine.

When I do a search I also find thats its a JDM. The 1st gen B16 is b16a so what could you call a 2nd gen b16a? I need to know the head as well.

Looking at the engine with the distributor cap on your left side, from the distributor cap where it connects to the head itself, look straight down until you find a stamp on the block itself. If it says b16a2 with a green vin stamp right near that, it's a USDM b16a2 from a 99-00 Civic Si.

b16a2 is ONLY in the USDM market (and Canada). I honestly have no idea what the name of the a2 head is... it's 3 am and I can't think of the name.

My brother traded rims(twisties) for a PR3-4 head that has an TD87U dizzy. Is that an itr head or just b16a with and r dizzy? Also the guy told him he just threw in skunk2 cams? The cams look new but Is there way to tell? Any identification so he knows exactly what he has?

I think the R head is labeled pr3 as well as all the b16s

im quite sure you are right as well. B16a2 is a USDM engine to clarify.

Correct.

If the block says B16A2 it is either a USDM 99-00 Si motor, or a euro. Possibily from eastern block, or Africa....but I doubt it.

africa? lmao ... b16a2 is USDM ONLY. comes in 99-00 honda civic si. the head is a pr3 which IS the same casting as a type-r head minus the mild hand port and beefier valve-train + cams. DONE DEAL.
