Uhhh...a better question is why the hell would you want to do this?? Basically you're saying that you want to put a VTEC valve cover on a non-VTEC motor? That's stupid. That's what they call "rice." That's like putting "Type-R" and "DOHC" badges on an automatic DX Civic. If you don't have VTEC then you don't need a VTEC valve cover.

Very true indeed! However, there is a way you can do all this. Simply find a b16 or b18c, c1, c5 head and hopefully it comes with that delectable valve cover that you so covet and make yourself a kick ass ls/vtec motor that will conquer all.

1st of all the reason why i was asking was because mine has a damn crack in it and my neighbour has an extra one from his old motor, thats why i was asking besides im wayyyyy far from being rice im not like some "kids" here who put all types of things and badges on their car, ive been in the import scene way before you were in, i just dont know much about hondas this is my 1st honda ever i deal with.... i was a die hard DSM for over 15 yrs. so i was just asking a Q? im sure you and "tunerboy" were not born knowing it all but then again i might be wrong.

:D, .. need a valve cover to experiment w/ colors

I know what you mean, I'm mad they don't make any blue valve covers for the b-series, from one of our other threads you should know why I don't really care for red, so when I did my type r swap, I just gave the red valve cover to one of my boys, been tryna find a good blue one since but just the ones on e-bay keep popping up but they removed all the badges when they painted them

n00bs bashing newbs.

Nightstalker, you can get LS valve covers for a really low price.

Not really a "n00b," just fairly new to Hondaswap. And I wasn't trying to flame him or make him feel stupid, sorry if that's how it came off. I read his other thread about the car he bought and it sounded like it had a pretty nice setup, and I just wanted to encourage him not to rice it up...that's all...

Sorry if I came off like a prick! :p

And yes the B16/H22 valve cover won't work unfortunately, but, as the others said, LS valve covers are plentiful and usually pretty cheap...

shaved VCs look decent..
yea but I already got the entire exterior shaved, I at least want the engine to have some badges, not that it matters, cause people still stick their head in there just to see the B18C5 stamp. The only shaved valve cover I saw that I liked was a chrome one cause it's all smooth and I know I would be able to just wipe off any stains or dirt from working on my engine, but I don't know how well chrome would disperse heat.

Well I was not trying to ridicule you in any way, just offering up a suggestion. The ls/vtec motor is a viable option here and you that way you can keep the valve cover and make more power while at it.

And by the way I'm not a newbie here I just could not recover my old login information after they revamped the website so I had to change my name and password. I've been on the site for a couple of years.
