"How do you spell, 'Shoot you in the fucking face?'"

Seriously, I hate you.

I use calculus every day. Never spent a day in class.

It's a lot easier if you learn it by yourself. I don't have all the rules and shit to get in the way. I was banned from the science wing by police restraining order. The physics teacher thought I tried to kill him with a 6 foot long slide rule.

He wasn't far off.

calculus=religious nonsense, that shit isn't real IMO and the people who can "do" calc are just hallucinating

and that's comming from someone who finished computer programing 4 weeks early and because a teachers aid in highschool

Again, people use Geometry everyday too. But only like one is solving Buckminster equations for Quantum relations in specific time/space.

And Calculus and Geometry both think that you will get into a profession as a mathemetician. You don't need to be the BEST with the subject to use it.

i use calc daily. mostly, limits.

hell, even as a car guy, you should be able to find the area under the curve. net overall power > peak power :)

Werd, I got my car tuned by a guy who is also a professor.

He explained what he was doing/the results using calc.

I liked him because he said something like, "yeah tuners try to market themselves with some "tricks" or secrets that they know. . .there's no tricks, its just science"

I got an A- in Calculus: Technical Applications my freshman year at Rowan. It was the second time I took it though. Most of it is pretty easy though.

Calc applied to business is your friend Economics with calculus is very eye opening.

Hit me up if you need help. I'm prettty decent at this stuff.

I'm in "business calc" right now, but its beyond what most calc courses usually require.

My pre-calc last semester was absolutely ridiculous. I love when friends who are in Calc 4 and Calc 5, being either engineer majors or math majors and can't figure out problems I'm assigned.

that's exactly what my boyfriend says. 'tuning isn't a trick or black magic, it's simple mathematics and physics... we just have to find the right solutions per engine'

smart guy... hell he even stumped the instructor of the efi 101 classes.

Yeah its not too bad. You just need some deep experience in both. I pulled off a C- in the class and I hadn't ever taken an economics class and hadn't taken calculus in 3 years. First class I took in college actually.

Mid-term you're probably solving for stuff like Cbar of X. and Anti-Derivatives and such to find break evens, etc.
