Project EH23
Hi here are some pics of my new project car. It's a 93 cx hatch with 160xxx on it. The body does need some work. I got it for a $1000. I wanted to know what you guys think.

1-Was it a good deal?

2-What EG is that. (EG2 EG4 EG6?)

3- Can i use any 92-95 civic fender bumper and hood?

I also have a 93 del sol si with a jdm d15b in it (25000-35000 miles) . I was planing on putting back the old z6 (154000 miles ) in it and put the d15b in the cx. What you guys think? I'm going to sell the del sol.

Any input will be great . Thanks.

it was a good deal if the engine runs.

yes you can use any 92-95 hood and bumper.

i wouldn't mess with all the motor swapping. that is a lot of work to save a couple hundred bucks. just sell the del sol and get an ls swap or something. then sell the z6 for $500.

First i'm a little confused about what a ls is. And when you say cheap, how much are they? Thanks for your input. So any 92-95 civic hood bumper fender will fit, it doesn't matter what body style it is ( coupe , sedan)?

The car runs . The only know problem so far is the axel.

ls swap. b18b. comes in most integras 93-2000 or whatever. cheap is under $1200 for the whole swap.

and yes, coupe/sedan is interchangeable.

Cool, that is something that i will really consider. Thanks.

Is a b18b a direct drop in as long as you have the engine ,tranny, ecu shift linkage and axles ?
What else do i need and which harness to use?

update and question

I've started striping her . The car was really dirty. I can't even tell what i've found when removing the carpet. One friend works in a shop and wants to help me fix the front end and paint the car for me cheap. I was thinking about championship white ( where to buy it?).

1- What you guys think?
2-pic 2: how do i remove the other part of the seat?
3- As you know the cx doesn't have a tachometer. If i buy a cluster that has one , will i need anything beside the vss?

4- This question doesn't have anything to do with my project. Here is the thing , i'm trying to sell my sol and one guy wanted it to................................. a h22 in the trunk and make rwd drifter sol:eek:   . Is that something possible or that can be done. Anyway he wanted to trade his car and i wanted cash.

if u sell ur del sol for a good price i would get a motor swap in befor u start in on the body work just to make sure u got the money, but yeah an ls swap would be pretty good for that car

If it runs and drives, great deal.

Assuming the rust is limited. Check your shock towers and major braces/chassis components. If those are heavily rusted you are looking at a large repair bill. Even if you do it yourself.

Why not drop the z6 into the eg? That is certainly a drop in, and has plenty of pep.

The rust is limited to the quater panels only. Schok tower and braces/ chassis are all fine.
Droping the z6 into the eg is a good idea but i was thinking about something that has more balls like a gsr, b16b or b18c5. But when you trying to figure out witch engine is best , there are so many pros and cons about all of them that you don't even know wich one to choose. I'll think about it later. For now I'll just focus on getting that body straight and painted and on the suspension and wheels/tires. Thanks for your input.
