the real question is can we handle 3 diffrent fronts?
afghanistan is still fubar'ed, iraq is a fucking quagmire, and gives iran its chance to get jabs in under the belt

israel should step up and nuke iran

not only that but there is a NATO law that says an attack against one NATO country is an attack against all NATO countries. We should ask NATO not named the USA to wrap up Afghanistan so we can focus on the Iraq and now Iran problem.

Once Iran get's bitchslapped N Korea will fall into place nicely, pressure from China is already starting to do this.

For all you people who hate Cel's opinion I must tell you that this is +1 for him. His theory of the eventual West V Middle East ideals war is becomming more and more reality

Iran=Radical Shite
Iraq=70+% Shite that were oppressed by Sunni's for 30+ years

This is proof positive that we need to stay in Iraq and win it, do you want Iran to look like this?

Iran does...

We can fight a war on all fronts. Look up my post about the seawolf subs.

63 weapons caches have been discovered during major U.S.-Iraqi security sweeps around Baghdad that began Feb. 14. The arsenals included anti-aircraft weapons, armor-piercing bullets, bomb components and mortar rounds, the statement said.
these weapons are coming from somewhere. saddam didn't plant enough of these to make them grow on trees... did he?

This "we can't fight these wars" logic is straight up BS

our military strain isn't currently half what it was in WWII and our country has nearly twice the people now

we can't put together a big enough military cause we're filled with pussies who have grown up too prosperous to inconvenience themselves long enough to serve their country

I think the real reason is that... life has changed a lot since WWII.

back then, the service was 'what you did after highschool', much like today, college is what you do after highschool. times have changed. People are more informed. And a vast majority of the WWII guys who signed up, did it for the paycheck, as it was one of the better paying jobs of its time. Especially the paratroopers.

If we go to Iran, I will enlist(or at least try), :)

Blah when I got out I was making $21/hr. That's including allowances for housing which are based on cost of living by zip code. Had I been in the UK still it would have been more like $30/hr, had I been living here (Oregon) it would have been like $26. Couple that with the fact that our we can buy discounted fuel on base and retail on base with no sales tax, the fact that while your in the government pays 100% of college tuition without touching you GI bill, and you get free membership to world class gym facilities and that's a decent quality of life. They kick in more money if you get married or have kids and the credit card you can get through AFFEES are like 11% interest.

not bad for a high school grad with no college when he joined

perhaps.

straight up, i will not go in the army. no way, no how. not only do i not beleive in the cause, but i'm not the 'army boy' type. if they try to make me, i'll leave if i have to. fuck 'em.

maybe i'm a pussy.... but i'm not putting my life on the line so a bunch of iraquis can have freedom. If THEY gave a shit, they'd pick up a damn gun and fight back themselves.

maybe they are all pussies too........... or like me, don't beleive in the cause.

if you want to play the money game.... airj0ckie posted a job a while back that requires no college/high end skills, for 22/hr, full tuition re-imbursement, and all the rest.

not to mention, 8 hour day VS 12-18 hour day + being away from home for months on end.

11% credit cards are far from good. i pay 7.99% on mine.

so, what am i missing here.... oh, yeah... i'll trade my life for more expensive gas and sales tax, any day.

The army is far from a good choice IMO if you're doing it for a "job". There's better
ways to make similar money with similar benefits, if not better.

And now, insert celerity post, claming i'm a snobby bastard, and that $8/hr jobs are for losers rebuttal.
