Hi guys, its me again. :)

I wanted to check with u guys tat if example my engine crankshaft n engine bearings had been damage b4 but will the problems arise even after i had change the re-con crankshaft n new bearings as well?

Do u guys recommend me to change another engine instead repairing by replacing it?

Thank u for the all of u guys...

I would start with another crankshaft that hasnt had any spun bearings. Then I would have it micropolished and balanced, about $100 by a repebutable machine shop. Make sure you go with oem honda bearings and that they are properly clearanced.

So its not necessaries to change the whole engine and wad i need to do is to find a good condition crankshaft n oem bearings.

The problem won't arise anymore unless wear n tear which i believe is a long time..
Am i rite?

You wouldnt have to replace the whole engine, however you would be taking it basically all of the way apart!! So if you are not knowledgeable about rebuilding engines and putting them back together right I wouldnt attempt it. If thats the case it would be much easier and a better idea for you to get another engine thats in good shape.

I will bring it to workshop if i rly need to replace the crankshaft becos i'm not familiar with re-buliding my engine ..
By the way, will my performance increase if i would to use B20 crankshaft on my B18C?

You cant use that crank it that block without custom rods or pistons it has a longer stroke. Stick with the b18c crankshaft.

Oh ok...
Thanks ya..

I was very worried becos i just brought tis engine not long ago n someone was telling me tat if happens tat a engine crankshaft n bearings won't last long even i haf change to a new set becos its had damage before..

Is English your first language?

Why did you spin a bearing in the first place? You need to figure that out or it'll keep happening. Don't recondition a Honda crank, buy another one that isn't damaged. You will absolutely have to have the rod or main journal that the bearing spun on reconditioned or you will spin another bearing in the same spot. And you can buy OEM Honda bearings at HondaAutomotiveParts.com.

Nope.
Sorry for the poor gammer..

So like, are you going to answer the questions I asked you?

Anyway, i got myself a used B20 crank n con rod at a good prices but need a bit of mod to fit into the engine..

May i ask u something, any different for the lower block between B16B(ek9) n B18C(DC2)?

Any way tat i can verify it?

The B20 block is a B18 with an 84mm bore. You just need to have the main caps line bored for the new crank.

The main difference between the B16B and B18C Type R is the stroke. I don't know enough about B-Series engines to tell you how to verify one of the cranks.

Yey, me know as well the difference is stroke only..
Any others can help me ?
