I would stick with 9 to 1. Also get yourself the injectors, fuel pump, and fuel management to make it all safe and reliable. I recommend a obd1 ecu that can be tuned with crome, hondata, or uberdata.

It has alot more to do with then just the tune. Pump gas definetly has its limits, anyone saying otherwise just doesnt know what they are talking about. If we are talking race gas, then yeah it just is all about the tune. But I build ass whooping street cars that run on 92 octane pump gas. So I keep 9:1 or just slightly higher for that 12-14lbs of boost. I think that most people on here are asking for advise for there daily driven street car, so listhen to someone who has setup more then a few of these cars!!
e85 is pump gas and its 105 octane and cheeper than 87
