FOX Sports - NFL - Jaguars wideout arrested for stolen gun

A search of the vehicle turned up a Glock Model 27 handgun under the driver's seat. Tampa police reported that the gun was stolen last year from a federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agent in Putnam County, but an ATF spokesman said Monday that the weapon belonged to an agent of the state Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco.

you're just figuring this out?

few, if any, atheletes have an education that could take on a smart 3rd grader. but some how, they graduated highschool, and college.

sports are a fucking joke IMO.

While I would agree with you in a traditional educational sense that alot of athletes are not very smart in terms of last traditional grade level to be passed. I would argue that most of these athletes are intelligent in a different way. In Educational psychology you learn that there are different levels and areas of intelligence. How else would you explain football players being able to memorize a playbook or learn a defense for instance. Hence the phrase "Game IQ".

a monkey could learn a play book.

i mean, you train for it.... you practice the "sidewinder 120" or whatever the f it's called 2300 times a season. repetition doesn't prove intelligence.

I don't think you understand football, the science of it is incredibly deep at the QB position.

I'm sorry if athletes picked on you

no body picked on me. I was friends/social with just about everyone... the nerds, the jocks, and everyone else.

I'd be willing to bet the average pro athelete couldn't multiply 50x7 in their head.

meh, he was a bench warmer. He probably had nothin better to do..

I couldn't disagree with you more.

Some key-star athletes can be smart, or not as smart, but there is incredible intelligence at many levels in sports. Have you evern attempted at analyzing the quick decisions made in a sport? Let's say we have football.

Quarter back is looking for the blitz. He sees it coming. He audibles. Then realizes it wasn' the blitz. He has a choice. A split second to win or lose. Time out, or go with his original gut.

The decisions made by a professional athlete are incredible. They're precise, and if their timing, and body match up to their mind, in most cases they turn out good..... If the other team isn't as good.
