Hi guys, i have a problem again..
frown.gif

When my engine idling, i see bubbles popping up inside my raditor tank after i open my radiator cap.
I even encounter loss of 1/4 coolant inside my spare tank.
Is this the sign of gasket blown?

I had changed done my head gasket, radiator fan, themostat, radiator cap, flush my radiator a few times n even timing belt n water pump just few months back.
Its even less than 10,000km of driving.

Is there any other causes of this?

I'm driving a Civic ek4 SiR.

It does sound like a headgasket issue. Is there any coolant puddled under the car? That could be a sign of a leak. Otherwise, check the oil for coolant.

There is no sign of leaking when i on my engine n park for 20-30mins.
Oh shit..
I forgotten to check on my engine oil just now!

Drain the oil and check it for coolant. Is there gray smoke when you drive?

Becos in our country we can only check the oil by sending in to workshop to do servicing.
My friend told me that he seen white or grey smoke coming out from exhuast yesterday when i was cruising at around 4k-5k rpm at the speed of 50-60km.

I am very curious how could my gasket blow again when i had done a overhual on my engine just less than 10,000km.
I even done my running-in period very smoothly without stressing my engine.

You cant just drain your oil???? Thats crazy :(

Sounds like a head gasket though, gray smoke and loosing coolant. I cant say why this is happening to you, I dont know who or how they did the work. Maybe someone else can advice you on an awesome head gasket or something, I'm not that good with all different Honda Engines like most of these guys are :)

We can only drain our engine oil only at workshop for disposer of engine oil n i dun haf a jack to lift my car up..
Sign... :(

The best way to check for a head gasket leak is with a leak down test or a compression test.

The reason why could be anyone's guess. Maybe you didn't torque the head down properly, maybe one of the head bolts has a little less torque than the others, maybe the head gasket just sucked, and so on.

Hi, care to share more about leak down test?
In our country, mostly repair r to b done by workshop becos we doesn't know how to handle it well unless those minor things.
Mostly of us doesn't have a proper jack to check our car undercarriage.

I seen alot pics like maybe most of ur house got a private jack to lift up your car to check or D.I.Y.
There is something i admire alot.. ;)

Today i manage to rush to workshop n let those mech inspect my car for any gasket leaking.
They used the same old school way by sticking a long metal inside after remove spark plug but couldn't find any water inside.
The bubbles still forming up just like when we mix car shampoo with water.

After i left the place n manage to drain out my old coolant n replace with a clean set of coolant, the bubbles still forming up until awhile, the bubbles finally stopped!!
Sign.... :(

I am really confuse, is this the end?
Or its might b worst tomorrow?

We shall see... ;)

May god bless me that its sound n safe when tomorrow i see my car again.. :)

Take a look through the reference section at the top of the forum. There's a lot of really good information up there. https://hondaswap.com/general-tech-articles/how-leak-down-compression-tests-29104/ :)

That sucks, dude. My lift is a floor jack and a pair of jack stands in my drive way. My compression tester cost me $40USD.

If you have suds coming out of your radiator, that's a pretty good sign of a blown head gasket. You're going to have to get that fixed really soon or your engine is going to get hydrolocked. When the head comes off, have both it and the cylinder block deck (head gasket mating surface) checked for warpage with a precision straight edge and feeler gauge.

Hi dude, thanks for the info u gave.. :)

I would like to confirm once again that if my gasket is blow, will my water temp increase?
I had encounter once my gasket blow before my tis current engine, the water temp just keep rising up n down thru the whole day.

I went to check on my car just now n realise the coolant level is still maintaining at tis usual level but the bubbles inside my radiator keep forming up.. :(

Silly question. Have you bled the cooling system yet?

If not, take your radiator cap off, top the coolant level off, and start the car. Once the thermostat is open (the bottom radiator hose will be as hot as the top one and the coolant will be visably swirling in the radiator, about 10 minutes) set the heater all the way to high and turn it on. You'll see a lot of bubbles and burping, keep the radiator topped off until the bubbles stop. It shouldn't take much more than 20 minutes. Don't leave the car alone while you're doing this.

But i'm running without thermostat.. How? What u suggest?

So there is still a chance that the water temp MIGHT NOT RISE even gasket is blow?

Guys, i finally upload video regarding the bubbles inside my radiator..
I believe pictures explain more than i..

That was taken after i change a new set of coolant..
Does the video show like i pouring shampoo inside my raditor?
LOLZ..
Sigh...

Please give me some advice after viewing..
