break it in with boost y0
so whats done to the motor?
It's got to go thru emissions first so it can get re-registered...then wear the engine in a little then add boost.
What was done...was the peppy little engine that Bob Vila said he had, well, I finally got around to it, and had it dipped at a shop, to clean all the gunk out of it...and then it sat. Then when I got around to it, I took it all apart, and inspected everything, cleaned it up some more, and then at sat again. Then got back to it, honed out the cylinders, went thru all the other engines that I have and got all the pistons and rings done...and it sat again. Then when I got back too it again, I just went hog wild and put it back together, then took the head that I had on my old engine, and rebuilt it with cleaned up valves, new seals, and re-ported and polished up the intakes and exhausts, fabbed a Cometic metal headgasket to fit it, and bolted it on...and it sat again. it sat a while.... Then cracked open a mint shifting tranny and swapped all the gears and crap inside to my old trany case that I cleaned up, and I'm re-using the phantom grip LSD that I had..and everything was first washed in the parts washer, then dipped and splashed around in Aviation Gas, 110LL, and dipped in ATF, and then installed and bolted together. Clear coated the case to keep the damn corrosion at bay, and its sitting. Then Tristen finished up bolting the other parts to the engine after cleaning them up..so now the engine and the trany are just sitting around again waiting for an engine lift to return to my house so I can get the engine off the stand, bolt the flywheel on, install the ACT pressure plate and new disk, and slap the tranny on....then it can be lowered into the CRX and hooked up. I might actually have a running Honda for my Hondaswap meet.
All I want is a simple, stockish engine that runs on 9psi, an FMU, and some fishtank valves.... but if the engine gets 32mpg...then I might think about leaving it non-turbo...and just daily drive it til my kidneys blow up. (450lb rear springs
