Kia to rival Audi TT with 2009 model

Korean automaker Kia is planning to unveil a concept version of an Audi TT competitor at the Frankfurt Motor Show, according to a new report. The car was penned by Kia's design head, Peter Schreyer, who formerly worked for Audi and designed the original TT.

Even the car's codename, Project Snowflake, is alludes to the original TT, which was codenamed Raindrop. "The name shows the link between the cars, but hints that ours will be even cooler," a Kia insider told U.K. magazine Auto Express.

The front-wheel-drive car will arrive as a concept in September, with production no later than 2009. "It will shock the world," the Kia source claims.

Looks like a woman's shoe. Like a high heel without the heel.

And holy 3 foot long headlights, batman!

Looks like a great car to buy your 16 year old daughter.
All it needs is a powerful 148hp motor.

it will probably be much more reliable than an audi. i could see my mom trading in her mint sub 15K mileage 01 sportage LX for it.

fwd, 4 seats.

stupid side profile.

fail.

wrong. every 30 something year old woman who still needs to feel sexy and wants to drive a sporty convertable but still needs 4 seats to take the kids to soccer games is gonna want one of these.

the selling point is that it will be a sports car under $14k. kia will give you a cheap, throwaway car. the u.s. market will love it.

well im a penny pinching bastard. i use a condom until the bitch has dried out and become pointless. then i run some tap water over it and throw it on a car as they pass by my apartment. "is that glue" is usually the first thought....until they realize what is now on their windshield. god bless texas.

Ugh. Remind me not to drive by your house!
