ok my buddy has an 89 prelude si. it has a good knock on higher rpms. he came to me and asked if it was worth repairing dollar wise vs putting a new motor in there. so he asked me what motors can i put in there. i was guessing he could put any b series motor but i wanted to make sure of it! please let me know thanks!

Why not a F series and boost it? That setup could be had for $1500 total, motor AND turbo. I know someone selling a F series Turbo kit ;)

lol ok ok but here is the deal would that motor just drop right in no welding and all that stuff? i don't know much about that year prelude

Me either :shrug2: I'll do a quick search.

Fatzingers in Bangor has F22 salvages for 250-400 all the time.

ok kool i don't know if he is going to spend the money on a h22 right now :( but thanks for the help and knowing that he can do it will be fun but i think that f22 is a good idea

yeah its not about hte mounts is about the $ he is not rich he just lost his dad and has no money to spend right now but he needs a motor

We understand that he can't spend a ton of money on it. Turbo&Auto isn't saying that he should get an H22, he's just saying that the F22 and H22 use the same mounts, so if he wants to put the F22 into that car, he will need the H22 mount kit.

Grassy ass :)

For money problems sake, the F22 is prolly the best choice! Its only a couple hundred for a complete salvaged one from Fatzingers. Then a mount kit and he should be good :) I have another F series ECU if he needs.
