Its pretty much a D16 block with a D15 head on it.
Its got a more agressive cam(higher redline....too the roof).
Rated at 130hp.
It uses D16 connecting rods.
A completely unique crank.
Redline is 7,200RPM
The ECU for that motor is p08, but itll work just fine with a p28. And your gonna need a harness to run either of the ECU's. I would say use the p28 cause its USDM which is esier to obtain.
And you can use any d-series manual tranny, and I mean any from an 89' CRX HF to 00' Civic Ex they will all work.
But if you can get ahold of the JDM D15B tranny with LSD go for it.

The tranny is stamped: L3 i believe
And the other one your talking about is the 3-stage Vtec which was made for MPG.
