Its pretty much a D16 block with a D15 head on it.
Its got a more agressive cam(higher redline....too the roof).
Rated at 130hp.
It uses D16 connecting rods.
A completely unique crank.

and the redline is? i mean its 6800 or 7200 or what and which ecu i need and i want a M/T transmision which one can i use.

thanks

Redline is 7,200RPM

The ECU for that motor is p08, but itll work just fine with a p28. And your gonna need a harness to run either of the ECU's. I would say use the p28 cause its USDM which is esier to obtain.

And you can use any d-series manual tranny, and I mean any from an 89' CRX HF to 00' Civic Ex they will all work.

But if you can get ahold of the JDM D15B tranny with LSD go for it.

ohh thanks now what its LSD tranny how can i reconize it i mean any number i want one cuz u say like its better. other thing its this engine its better than the one who have the two vtec zolenoid?

LSD=limited slip differential

Which alows both wheels to spin at the same time. Instead of a one tire fire so to say.

The tranny is stamped: L3 i believe

And the other one your talking about is the 3-stage Vtec which was made for MPG.

Other way around: "D15Z1" type block with Z6 head. The camshaft is not more aggressive(this was proven by a guy on SOHCHonda IIRC; turns out both the D16Z6 and the D15B VTEC can have the mystery camshaft; serial begins with a D. Mine began with a B and I compared it to my cousin's Z6 camshaft, which also began with B). Redline is the same as the Z6.

The OBDII D15B VTEC(3-stage), in comparison to the OBD1, is about the same performance wise but gets better MPG(miles per gallon). Where the OBDI is better is when you start modifying it(the 3-stg uses a unique camshaft and ECU). The MPG increase comes from the first VTEC stage; at low rpms only intake valve is opened and the other is cracked a little bit open. This creates a swirl which helps with "lean-burn". Lean=A/F higher than stoich/14.7(less fuel per air). Second stage is "normal", while third stage is the high-cam. Regular VTEC engines are just "normal and high".

88-91 transmissions=L3
92-95= S20
96-00=S40

The OBDI D15B VTEC would be S20 and the OBDII one S40.

LSD simply sends torque to whichever wheel has the most grip or just spings both wheels at the same speed(clutch style). A regular open diff. will send power to the one slipping the most(bad because no traction=not getting anywhere).

What about the timming of the engine i mean i dunno its out off time cuz he fail on 6600 or 6800 rpm when its running at this rmps he turn the check engine light
