Im thinking of buying an rsx type s but people have told me that I have to ba carefull of over reving because the cam chain snaps easy. Is this true or what. I have heard a story of a guy who missed a shit over reved and then but the bottom through the top. Let me know if there is any truth to this.
 
its a honda. its made to rev to 7800. you can keep it there and the chain wont snap....thats one of the points of a redline. its the point that power really starts to drop off, and the parts have been tested and proven to that point.

im not saying bounce it off the rev limiter cause you can, im just saying, if you accidentally cross to 7900, its not gonna hurt it.

my lude is faster than a type s, but the s2k is 1,000 times more fun to drive than both.
 
well i had that choice just a few weeks ago the s2000 is awesome but its so so so small, so i bought the type s rsx. and with 1200-1800 bucks later ill be able to out run the s2000
 
I also did hear that the s2k is very tight but I think that would be good so you can feel the car more, what do you guys think?
 
well im 6,3 250lbs so it was super tight to me, but the damn things are super fun vtec kicks in pery dang hard on those a friend of mine told me you could get some kind of seat rails to make the seat sit lower in the s2000 but shit my knees was all over the dash, but way fun.. .. but my rsx im just gona keep it simple cold air intake race header full exhaust and a k-pro, and thats all.
 
6,3 235 so, I guess were in the same boat. Honestly would you want one for a daily driver? What exactly it he k-pro? Is that like a new ecu that reprograms timing and fuel delivery and shit like that?
 
kpro is really one of the few tuning answers for the RSX. Its worth the money especially if you are doing internal mods.

and if your 6'3 i woulda picked the rsx too.
 
dude if i could get 3 inches lower and mabe 5 back i would have got the s2000, but im very happy with the type s after having it a few weeks if someone came up to me and said the s2000 now has enough room to hold my big ass i think i would still pic the rsx.and yes the k pro is a new ecu fully tuneable
 
No shit, thats awesome. I dont know what i want, Maybe an nsx. Just playin, i would have to sell my car, the wifes car, and my house. Sounds like it worth it dont it. :)
 
my neighbor has a s2k and he threw a turbo in it like a month later he is boosting at 10 psi and he drifts corners like they are wet...amazing car...fast as fuck...pushing over 400hp jus one upgrade....amazing!!! if i had the chance to get either an rsx or 2000 would have deff.. choosen the s2k sry but that was a dumb idea....
 
Listen here little fucktard, read all the posts before you comment. If you had you would of read that he does not fit into the s2k. Who cares if your buddy just put a turbo on an s2k, its done all the time. Be creative like the guys on you tube and put a 2jz into an s2k.
