I have a 97 Honda Accord DX. It's just the stock engine, with DC Sports Headers, and a generic cold air intake.
I want more power. What would be a better bang for the buck? F20 or a H22? I want a DOHC VTEC with good acceleration that will be a daily driver. Which should I go with? I hear that the f20 is like an h22 head almost. If I will notice a big difference and it's cheaper I'd like to go with the easier f20 install. What do you guys suggest? How big a difference would I notice with an H22 over a F20? And is the F20 basically a direct bolt in for the stock engine in it?

If you want to see the car, here's my cardomain page: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2595474

it will swap in the same both the h and f will drop right in but id go with the h22a

So what is the difference between the performance of the f20 and h22? I was thinking here in cali it should be easier doing the f20, since smog laws are strict as hell out here. I also thought that you needed to convert or change a few things with the H that you didn't with the F. Is that true?

Anybody got the numbers for the comparison between going from the f22 in there stock to the f20 and to the h22, so I can see just how much power I sacrifice going with the F over the H?

both motors are jdm so smog will be a issue with both motors most f20b have 200hp and 145 ft lbs and the h22a has both 220hp with 163 ftlbs or 200hp and 162 ftlbs depending on modle
