Ok, I recently bought myself a 2000 teg ls, and there are a few noises that I am trying to figure out what they are. (Im the kind of driver that listens to every sound his car makes while driving)

Noise (a)
I think is part of the drive terrain, im not sure if its the wheel bearing or axel's, basically my car sounds like a jet taking off, and I dont mean a loud roar, I mean the engine's spooling up. As I speed up, so does the frequency of the the noise, and it has a tone like /\_/\_/\_/\ if you can apply a sound to that. When I clutch in, or shift to neutral while moving, it makes no difference, so im assuming wheel bearing or axel, any ideas about that? (tires & rims have been changed)

Noise(b)
is right on startup, my previous teg was a 91 also had it, and I was thinking it was a bottom end bearing, but I could be wrong... as soon as you start the car, you hear kind of a rattle for a second, then it goes away. and its the only time you hear it, when the car is cold and you first start it.

Noise(c)
I also had on my honda accord, and its a noise that sounds like its coming from the dash or console area at higher rpms and almost sounds like a hissing sound, and if you listen real close or move close to the instrument cluster, it sounds like its coming from the tach

One other thing that has been bothering me is there is a vibration in my motor when accelerating hard, now im sure it could be a lot of different things.. Its not overly excessive, but enough to set off a warning in my head... could my crank need rebalancing? Or could valves out of whack cause this?

The car has 161,000km on it, and was most likely raced before I bought it

Anyways any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks and Cheers

a) could be an overtightened timing belt. they tend to have an ever increasing wine as the RPMs go up. A friend of mines 97 lude had it for about 3 or 4 months before it finally went away...and we never heard it when he first started the car...it was only while he was in motion (i guess the RPM wasnt high enough)

could also be a wheel bearing or CV joint. id probably have to hear this one to even make a semi intelligent guess.

b) a lot of times (especially up north) the ac compressor will make a random ass sound if it hasnt been serviced properly. i dunno if thats the sound youre hearing or not, but ya never know.

c) and thats the honda rattle. i took my dashboard apart and put it back together and it got rid of mine. there was probably a screw loose or some random ass wires. ya never know.

here's another for ya...at EXACTLY 3000 to 3150 rpms my gsr sounds like its vibrating a tiny piece of alluminum under the hood...EVERY gear....just typing this makes me think its the tranny? its annoying as balls and doesn't do it the first two miles out of the driveway

That RPM range is the sweet spot for the magical love note of the annoying infamous heatshield rattle. 90% sure thats what that is

If you look underneath and follow your exhaust system, you will see there are some following the pipe underneath. They tend to rot and rattle

probably the CAT heat shield.. if one of the welds break that shit can be annoying.. its happened to almost every car of mine

that did it!!! no need to cringe every gear anymore...i LOVE you guys...in a totally heterosexual way

new noise...when clutch is engauged...no noise...but when i let off it sounds like it's rattling...my fluid level seems good and there is no effect on performance...any ideas?
