I have a 99 integra ls and I have a XS Power turbo kit that i want to put on. I dont have a whole lot of money but i have another car so i can save some money up. I have done some research and asked people around about how much boost to run and all the stuff i need to do this install. I want to run 5psi for now since it is just a stock motor(for now).
1. Can my stock ecu be tuned?
2. 5psi pretty safe?
3. What kind of electronics should i get?
-Air/fuel management
-Boost Controller
-ECU

1. yes
2. yes but turbo is turbo and the motor is 8 years old........save for atleast rings and a gasket set probably 80-90$ on ebay
3. Hondata is supposed to work pretty good for turbo it would cover all those areas but you would have to get it tuned from a shop......otherwise there is always VAFC.........

-127k on motor
-should i get aftermarket rings or stock ones?
-I know hondata is pretty good and i know of plenty of people that have them in their cars.
-VAFC...would a SAFC work also or should i get the VAFC?
-Do i need an oil filter adapter to run lines?

If you have a LS you can get a SAFC since you don't have VTEC. I personally would not run a SAFC I would go with Hondata, Crome, Uberdata...

s300.

you might also wanna save up some money for a new turbo charger. The lubrication of XS Power turbos is NOTORIOUSLY bad (note, this goes for XS Power, not XS Engineering). Also, the welds on their manifolds like to crack, so be ready to re-weld/replace.

Im not trying to dog your choice, i just want you to be ready for the inevitable.

my fault SAFC not VAFC.......there I go thinking VTEC........hondata would be my #1 choise for a turbo setup..........just remember to look into maybe reinforcing the bottom end so you don't have problems later...

If you are going to go through the trouble to begin with just get aftermarket rings......ie Arias....but just save some cash and get all the small not to expensive bottom end parts cause those will be the first to break and break all the more expensive things....ie rings, barrings valves, springs, retainers........that way you don't have to replace the block a week after the turbo is in......had it happen to a buddy.......

1. Anyone know where i can get a pre-bent intercooler piping kit for like $300 or less?
