I assume that you are talking about the signal wire? That would tie into the oxygen sensor. Splice into a couple of wires untill you get the right one so you get the proper signal to make the gauge work.
You can look for a ECU pinout at plxdevices.com, look in the support section. If all else fails, slit the wires on the O2 with a razor and check with a Ohm Meter. The signal ranges from 0-1volt. Should be around .5 at idle.
