When would be the best time for my vtec to kick for my h22 stock internals, dc sport header, catback exhaust, short ram, chipped P13. my vtec currently kicks in at 5800 and im shifting at 7500. Where should i set it to kick on and my rev limit?

Oh thanks man. Yo i didnt get that part yet but i did the timing. turned out the timing belt is like a tooth advanced. Im getting the whole vss casting tomorrow for the engine light but before my light goes on i still get vtec for a lil. its a nice high pitch and my engine feels great in the high end. What Do you think tho 5K vtec 8k rev(is that to much for the vtec?) or 5800k vtec?

well sometimes its hard to say with out dyno tuneing it. if you drop the vtec to low you will lose power, for me with no dyno tune 5500-5600 rpm vtec kick on was great

almost i have a h22a cold air intake, header, catback, chipped p30, and my intake manifold has the butterflies removed

what top speeds have you gotten. Like since my rev limiter is at 9600k will i be able to exceed 140mph?

oh yea, big time it will do that way befor 9600k thats to high for a h22a. unless built

at 9600 rpms, you'll be looking at your motor in your rearview mirror...........

without the proper head work, do not take it past 8

I havent taken it past 7500 my vtec is 100% yet but yeah im not trying to blow it up either.

you wont get power even close to 9600 rpm anyways. plus, unless you are on a drag strip there is no need to go 140mph. and to get 140 at the track, you will need some sort of forced induction, lsd, or slicks.
