i just took out my spark plugs and they are black in the book that mean am running rich how to fix it i think my head gasket is blow will that make me running rich

No that is not very likely. Do a compression and leak down test. Your engine is probably just worn and the build up could be from some oil getting into the combustion chamber. It probably wouldnt hurt for you do to a full tuneup.

If you dont know what a tune up is then I wouldnt suggest working on a car at all, no offense or anything. Get a repair manual and it will tell you what all the tuneup items are and how to replace them.
