first time honda-engine swaper! please guide me

hey guys whats up?? this is my first time swaping a honda engine so i wanna make sure i do it right the first time!! i currently have a 1995 honda civic ex with a turbo d16z6, chipped p28 runnin crome pro, putting down 215whp! its quick yeah i guess BUT its a single cam!! i am wanting to replace the z6 with a obd1 b18b(94-00 teg) and boost it! my main corncers are not the mounts but the wiring and ecu! ive researched alot and i know i can use the z6 wiring hardness and get a new chip for the ecu but what mods am i gonna ahve to do to it?? what problems am i gonna run into?? i will be boosting it right away!! advices are welcomed!!!

^^ no, the ONLY thing that i will be selling will be all the sohc parts(manifold, and engine) im keeping the ecu!

first do u have a manyfold for a b series and the down pipe
and you will need to change the computer or get tune for a B series on boost other than that i woulb be axles shift linkage and motor mounts

the wiring harness i will plug and play u will have a extra plug since you car was vtec and now your not
other tan that you will be set to be and LS on boost good power

i'm in the same boat man. this website has lots of info, but sometimes not tons about every subject. new motor mounts. and you won't know all the exact problems until friday night around 9pm what kind of washer you're missing/can't find. and the hardware stores are closed.

motor mounts linkage and axles are all i can think of

my main concern is the ecu, cant i run the p28 on a basemap j/ to get to the tuner?? thats my MAIN concer, i really dont feel like buyin a new ecu since i already paid 170+ for the chipped p28

you should be good with p28 , you need to get it reprogrammed for dohc and disable the vtec or however you approach it, your tuner should help you out

sweet, so pretty much all i will need is: motor mounts, b18 hydro tranny, axles, a new turbo mani, a new dp, and a chip, and of course the engine! which one should i buy ive been lookin around and saw that the b18b1 comes w/ 140HP and 125tq, and the b18b comes w/ 130hp?? and the b18a1 (obd0) 130?? i'm thinkin aobut gettn the b1? what do u guys think??

you also need shift linkage, and you'll probably be more happy with the b1

I Got A 90' Hb*si, And Its Great! Very Clean And Very Maintained. The Only Thing Is That The Motor Isnt All That Great? Previously Owned And Never Really Put Money Into Ti. Now, I Know That I Can Fix It By Little And Find The Little Problems From Time To Time W/ The Car, But I Want To Avoid All Of That With Asking Too Many Q's And Getting Different Stories/ Judgements?

Basically...i Wanna Swap Something Rather Than Fix It? I Cant Make Up My Choice On What Motor? Zc, Dohc Zc, D15, D16, B16a, Or Simply A B18b?
I Wanna Keep It Original Jdm, No Turbo! And No Notrious!....all Motor Baby! If Anyone Can Give Me Some Suggestions, Please Do So? Money Should Be A Problem Just Want Something Nice For A Change.
