So, my ECU pooped out on me, it's throwing 2 of the your ECU is now crap codes. so now I'm on the hunt for a pm6, pm7, or pr4.
 
91 DX hatch with dpfi to mpfi swap, and i figured out what it was, one of my wires rubbed though and grounded out and made my ecu thro all sorts of codes, i fixed but now i have a new problem, i'm not getting spark all of a sudden. I backed out from the drive in front of my shop and when i put it in gear to go forward the car died and isn't getting spark i think i need a new dizzy.
 
i would but it is no longer needed Mike at TSR gave me a PM6 but that ended up not being the problem after all I replaced the ELD and the PR4 works fine now. no codes once again. WOOT! thanks though.

You have a pr-4 in a 91 dx did you swap the plugs or is it all the same pm6 pm7 pr4
 
No spark could be the ICM inside the dizzy. I had to replace this in my d16z6. $60 bucks for a chip the size of a matchbook, but it saved me from buying a whole distributer.
 
Hey guys not trying to jack a thread but what exactly is the pm9 ecu? I got an extra ecu with my car and i dont know what it goes to.
 
Also is there any way to chip this ecu and instal it into my 88 crx. It is the dual point. is there any sites that show you how to chip. Im ok at soldering. Also i was wondering if it was out of a 4 or 5 speed. And if it would make a difference if i pluged it into my existing 88 ecu plugs as this one is out of the 90.

I had that problem about 3 weeks ago.If you havent fixed it yet,take your ignition module out of your dizzy and take it to autozone to get checked.Mine died,piece of shit cost me 60 bucks.Now I have to tap dance on the corner to make rent:(
