just got a autometer shift light with pill module . Just wanted to ask if its safe to shift at 8,600 with my 96 spec JDM B18C ITR . What is the highest i can go ? I have asked this before but got several different answers and i need to know for sure so i dont cause any damage thanks :)

As long as the fuel cut is after that. I wouldn't go over the stock redline simply because it's not making much power after that.

do you know the stock redline ? i have heard anywhere from 8,500 - 8,900 - The motor is making power past 8,500 it pulls like a motha

8200 is stock redline IIRC. It may feel like its making power past there but you won't know until you dyno it.

thats the suggested redline.. the jdm itr will rev up to 7800

nge there is no way you can go to 8800rpm on a stock ecu unless it is tuned or chiped but it is at 8400rpm like i said before :driver2:

Thanks man:) , There is so many websites with different info .. I have a JDM b18C Integra type r , so im pretty sure that the USDM Type r's have a earlier redline but i may be wrong . Also im running the swap in a EG hatchback and its running on the stock ECU . I need to open it up to see if it has a chip in it , Or it must have got flashed (tuned)

well, we've said it several times... 8400 is the redline, but you can rev it to 8600

why do ppl need shift lights????

but yeah i wouldnt go much higher than 8400, if thats where it makes peak power. . . really no pt in going past
