i just purchased a 1992 civic cx canadian model with 5 spd. no power mirror, no power windows, no power steering, only one mirror and some small azz tires. lol. what would be the easiest swap with less money investments? like a motor out of a new rsx type s or like a h22 out of prelude? just give me your advices. i am so anxious to just rip this car apart. any help will be greatly appreciated.

CHEAPEST Bang for the buck is the head swap I'm doing *You can check my Thread I started D15B8 Mini Me* It will cost me less than $200, and It will go from 70hp to North of 120. And then if you want some more speed, Turbo'ing a D series is probably one of the cheaper options. The reason why I recommend this is because I wanted to do a swap to, but didn't want to drop series money on my 92 CX, and ANY swap outside of a D15 series Non Vtec starts taking ALOT more money than you would anticpate.

Cheap and power don't go together. If you want to go cheap and easy listen to eg6sir and stay d serie by getting a d16z6. I'm also kind of confused . You want something cheap and you're talking about rsx type s engine. Two things , you truely don't know how much it cost to put that engine in a 92-95 civic or we don't have the same definition of cheap. What's your budget? That will help people here give you the best advice.

you can go all motor or tubo b-series but thats gonna cost a pretty penny
as for k series, and h series, its possible but isn't anywhere near the easiest but if you have the money to do it, you'd be real happy(your wallet won't)
you'd also be satisfied with a turbo d series, cheapest and easy way to achieve some power

That would be a good swap also I did that swap into my 91 dx and saw a great gain from the stock 95 hp to bout 135 hp with a high flow cat.

listen, the first thing you need to do is decide on a budget. the second thing you need to figure out is how much power you want. then we can really help you. if you want good advice, look for people with higher posts and higher rep. they will help the best.

B series ftw, more potential in the long run. Even with a tight budget more money comes over time, builds usually take years not months. If you start out on the best(or near best) platform your possibilities are unlimited.
I'm new to this, can you explain why B series has more potential than K or H series?

k20a RR..cost of the motor and tranny,5-8 grand..to get it in the car 1500-3000 bucks
