do you guys know anything about them? specifically the hot wires with the built in capacitor. just want some input, if im in the wrong forum im sorry.

This has been discussed a hundred times. Search, it might be older like early 2000's, but I know I got my knowledge about them here.

NGK is the shit for honda's. Until you're around 300-400 hp, they're good. You won't see any hp gains, nor will you actually tell a difference.

thanks for the input you guys just saved me a bunch of money

did you just switch to geico?
or were you honestly considering buying nology wires for an increase in performance?

:p

i was considering them because i wanted better than stock. i kinda figured they wouldn't give me a drastic increase in power but they were the only brand i have really heard much about, other than bosch. now i just need to find a good site to buy some ngks from, i need a site that accepts paypal. i hate giving out my info to a company.

I always buy my stock componoents from importrp.com

It's a very good company, and I'll always vouch for them.

I remember seeing an article on how the stock wires from NGK were way better than anything else on the market.

Yup.. I know people that put in Nologys on the Dyno and LOST power.. Keep with stock... I know people running 300+whp on stock wires.

There was an article in a magazine a while back (don't remember which one) where they tested a shitload of plug wires, ignitions, coils, etc., and on a mostly stock motor (i/h/e) nothing outperformed OEM. When I was at UTI, we dyno'd a 98 Civic with stock ignition, and then put an MSD ignition with the fancy plug wires and coil and such, and it lost 3-4hp from the OEM ignition components.

OEM FTW.

Same here, OEM all the way baby. You can get there high performance blue wires for $52 shipped from irp and if you really feel the need to pay hundreds of dollars for ignition wires, NGK also has a super performance wire set that's still like 2-300 cheaper than nology, I think they're around $130

:concur: I just got a set of the NGK blue OEM replacement wires and a set of platinum plugs off of eGay for 49 bucks. Don't waste your money on the Nology wires, they barely do shit.

i feel bad for the people who use APC uber 9mm plug wirez
