I have a 04 civic ex and i was wondering what i could do to it to make it fast as i can i only have about 2 thousand to put in to it so if i could get some sugestions that would be great. It has a 1.7 full dc cat back exhaust

any advice helps im new to honda's
i use to be a jeep guy lol
 
Bigger engine ? If you were from Fall River where I am from it is easy to get a k22 for very very cheap money ! alot of people around here sell "hooked up" hondas that need some work for a very reasonable price with great engines and you just rip out the engine or fix uup the body and whatever else needs fixing.

I just got my self a B16 engine for $100 lol..But yea you could drop a turbo in your car look around online for a cheap turbo..Ebay maybe ? sometimes you get full turbo kits for like $600 if you look long and hard enough..Honda Civic Parts Specialists has alot of parts real cheap..
MSD igniton wires and Denso spark plugs-$120.00. Or Bosch Super 4 SparkPlugs..I have those and they work GREAT(recommended)
Clutch Kit-$390.00.
Cam Gears-$108.00.
Racing headers-$400.00.
High performance Radiators-$340.00.
Cold Air Intake-$100.00-$260.00
thats just some stuff I think you could use to make your car ALOT faster.but some people on honda swap might think there are better things
 
umm.. wtf is a k22?? and have fun w/ you Bosch plugs.. i though every Honda owner knew not to use Bosch

My bad I mean K20..and the bosch plugs seem to work very very good for me...and your a honda owner and you never heard of a k22 ? my buddy scott has 1 in his hatch right now..I dont know what car he got it from b ut I do know he has 1..:)

K22 comes from a RSX and bosch plugs did help my car out.They do make a diff..makes the cars engine cooler and they work perfect...I use em I quess you dont.:crap:
 
well, to the original poster.. let me give you some advise and DO NOT ... i repeat DO NOT listen to this guy..

what i suggest you to do is get your basic bolt-ons .. i/h/e cam of your choice and look into getting it chipped and tuned.. but better suspension, sway/strut bars and tires will make it faster in the turns.. so, its up to you where you want to put your money..

lol are you mad cuz im helping the guy out and I know where my motors come from ? It's ok ..have the guy listen to you and end up with a broken honda lol IDC if he listens to me or not..I know what i use and what works for my car lol..and my buddy just said he was high on the numbers its a K20...not K22 he is sorry and he messed up...but its a K20 from a RSX...and again IDC weather or not he listens to me..im ust telling him what he can use...there are other sparlk plugs to choose from
 
well, $2k isnt gonna get him a k20 or even a k22 :eek: :ph34r:.. so that basically out of the question.. if he doesnt want to do a HMT then he isnt gonna really make much power regardless.... so thats why i suggest he throws it into suspension and then save for a swap

lol we'll to let you know the K20 my buddy bought only cost him $1200 there for if he is willing to travel he can get 1 down here for $1200 and it will be alot faster than his stock engine....and nice smileys .. lol calling me a noob becuase I said to ise bosch spark plugs lol...im sorry that you insist on wal*mart brand:ufucktard::withstupid:and :gives:what spark plugs he uses ? i'm done after this.. the parts and labor needed for a k20 swap would be over $2k alone..
and i'll stick with my NGK Iridiums .. tardcart
 
lol good cuz i was gonna be done arguing with you to cuz I dont see no need to argue over spark plugs..and for some reason where I live there is a guy who owns a store called Auto Boutique and he charges $180 to swap a engine and $200 if he has to buy parts..and he said no matter what engine..if its for a truck or not..I think that is pretty fukin good ! $1200 for the K20 and $200 to sawp it is a damn good price !

now its my time what ever you do make sure you do not listen to Ant0n3 hes is a retard the only thing you can do for your car for that money is what eg6sir has already told you sure, you mightbe able to get a k20a3 out of a si for 1200 bucks but thats just the motor no tranny no ecu no nothing. and where ever hes getting these super deals if they realy are that cheap like lets say a b16 for 100 bucks its stolen. your not gona get any better power with what this nut case said other than the motor swap witch will cost you alot more than 2 grand. and yes your a noob mr k22.

you know the base RSX comes with a k20, same as the 02-05 Civic SI, but its blows.. and it sounds like you're getting your info from your buddy, so how did you mistype it.... you're owning yourself as you type.. hahah

ok, its possible the the labor to swap the motor could be $200, if a friend is doing it.. and the mounts alone are $600.. not to mention you need custom axles and various other parts that are not cheap..

the reason where on your case is your giving out false info..and to you bigboarder127 if you want good correct info make sure to listen to members that have a high post count and good rep numbers....but you was owning yourself
 
see I wasnt owning myself..my friend told me a last week he was getting a K22 and I asked what was that and I said i heard of K20...then today he read this and typed out that he ddint mean to say K22..it was a high number..he meant to tell me k20..there for my friend is the dumbass and I am not !I was just typing what he said ! and he again bigboarder127 does not need to listen to me I was just saying what was good for a car seeing how I got my car done by a performance shop
