i got a shop where i live telling me to get the crower cams over the skunk2. i need to now your opinons before i buy anything

You should do some research on both products to see if they will meet your power goals or any other goals you might want to achieve.

In a lot of cases your really only buying the name.

yeah, it really does all depend on what you are doing. I know youre pretty regular on here, but what kinda engine, (i assume whatever engine you have is in a del sol), what kind of power goals, na/turbo, usual driving habbits for the vehicle?

all are good things to know. i know most people say that Rocket Motorsports has really good cams, but i havent checked them out yet. also, if you go with rocket, then you have to use their valvetrain (well you dont have to, but they wont sell you JUST the cams, so you might as well use theirs).

My bet would be that your engine builder is probably a distributor for crower. if thats the case, he can sell you their cams at retail and pocket the money from the w/h price difference.

b16. dd, every once in awhilei will go up to the track. i'm going all motor. i just order some ctr pistons. just trying to get all the stuff togeter before i start takin it apart

Try a CTR intake cam and a ITR exhaust cam.

They say it works really well and is the equivelent of Skunk2 stage 2 cams. I dont know for sure but you should try looking into this too. Especially since its going to be driven daily.

And good job on waiting for all your parts before you start!!!

good idea. note that the ctr and itr have the same exhaust cam.

if youre looking at for good power from an n/a b16 thats a good way to go. people have said crower stage 1s are better than the CTR cams though. and i remember seeing a dyno of someone going CTR -> crower 402s coming up with a 15 hp gain after tuning.
