Damn, that's in my fucking town. I've been in that exact hospital numerous times... Actually, I remember this on the news a while back. There was at least one more case similar to this one around here. It was sad when I saw it on the news and it's sad now. I remember them towing the couch on a trailer, ugh.
 
That reminds me of my grandma, she sat in a recliner for years and weighed over 300 lbs. She finally got so sick that she lost a bunch of weight and we took her to the hospital. The weight loss actually helped her live a little while longer until my grandpa died of cancer, she died shortly thereafter. Obesity is a horrible way to die :(
 
my ex's mom weighs about 420lbs. it's bad. she leaves the house about 1 time a week. she has all sorts of heart problems and circulation issues, sleep apnea, and restless feet syndrome. but the thing is, she's so nuts, she doesn't give a shit. her family has tried to talk to her numerous times and still wont change. she just says everybody is picking on her. i was talking to my ex's dad last year, he said she rolled over and tried to get frisky and all he could think about was anything to keep from getting hard. hahaha, they haven't had sex in years. ugh.
 
wow...thats horrible...i just dont see how people let themselves get that big...

now i understand if its something beyond their control...like a professor at Georgia Southern...he gave one of his kidneys to his brother...he was around 160 lbs at that time...but afterwards...his body started rejecting him for it and he got huge...that kind of stuff sucks when there isnt anything you can do about it...
 
At what point do you sit down and decide not to move for 6 freakin years? She just crap on the couch? 6 years worth of crap?

Yeah, and there are people now that are alive that have couchs grafted into their skin as well. And beds. lots of people (I would say about 100 in an average town) that are bed ridden, in their own shit, full of bed sores and no one cares)

Are you serious? They want to file neglect charges because he allowed the bitch to be fat and shit on herself? Your right, not feeding her would have been much better.

For once can a person die of obesity and it be just their fault? He didn't make her swallow.
 
my mom was pretty obese for as long as i can remember. i dont know exact numbers but id say she was over 300. she started having lots of health problems, especially with her legs. last year she had gastric bypass surgery. shes lost tons of weight, shes probbaly down to 180 or so (i dont know for sure, i dont ask, you can just tell), shes much more active and im glad she did it. i was worried about her health for a while.
