I installed an aftermarket steering wheel, but the horn won't go off. HELP. Thanks

Had to re-install the OEM steering wheel.

lol. well if hes braking really quickly it must be for a reason and a horn is not going to help you. all a horn is, is a button to let ppl know your pissed off.
 
Wow, back to driver's ed. for you. The horn is to grab people's attention. ie: If someone is changing lanes and about to hit you because they don't see you, you going to try to yell at them? They also check your horn during safety inspection.

wow, ive been driving for 4-5 years daily and never even come close to an accident and im usually going atleast 10mph faster than what others are and i know how to watch myself as any good driver should be able to. but then again my car HAS the power to pass up traffic. so you can take that drivers ed shit somewhere else. and i personally dont need a horn for inspection, guy.
 
You can't pass them when people are in front of you. It's not a matter of how good of a driver you are, but rather the people around you(they teach you this in Driver's Education; "defensive driver"). Also, safety inspection the horn must be heard from at least 200ft away. They don't care what you personally need or want.

Also, just because you haven't got in a accident doesn't mean you're invincible. Some people don't get into accidents until like 30 years of driving, etc. Some even die in their first accident. Thing is, you never know. The horn is a alert device and that's what it's used for; alert people around you.

me saying "i personally dont need the horn for inspection" means i dont have to have it for where i get my inspection done. and it has everything to do w/ being a good driver.
 
The fact that you think driving around without a horn is okay means that you have little education about driving safely. The fact that you drive 10 mph faster than those around you means that you have no concern for the safety of the motorists around you, thus making you a bad driver. Please don't give out ignorant advice.

who's going back to drivers ed? we dont have that here in australia....

but yeah i look at it this way....your warning people of something going on....so honk your fucking horn its supposed to be there to warn others of danger weither it be infront or behind you....
 
you know I just put a steering wheel on my civic, it was a cheapy ebay steering wheel, it didnt work at first but I messed with the wires and connection until it was sold and it started working, now it never messes up.
 
There's a button to edit your post bro.
And like you said I would check/clean the horn wire connections before scrapping the wheel.
