What is my car worth?

Hey everyone...

Well a couple months ago I purchused a 1995 Honda Civic EX kind of on a whim to do a swap and such. Now that I'm 90% done with the project I found a house and with moving out and such I could use the extra money. I know very little about how much swapped civic (and any civic for that matter) sell for. I figure since this forum has plenty of Honda people maybe you can help me figure out a price for my car.

Here are the stats:
1995 Honda Civic EX Red
178k on the chasis
paint is in okay condition, with a good cleaning it would be nice
there are some small dents and the infamous "Honda rust" on the left 1/4
The windshield has a crack and is going to need replacement

The engine is a 95 JDM B18C with about 30k on it
The trans is off an LS, but was rebuilt with new gears and never installed
clutch, lightened flywheel, axles, motor mounts, timing belt, all tune-up parts are brand new.
The engine has a BLOX intake manifold
It's run by a Hondata S100 chipped P28 (tuned for an H22 so a 7200 redline, can be re-tuned though for the B18)
The suspension is stock and in good condition
the brakes need to be changed
It's riding on 15" integra rims (5 spoke) with good tires on all 4 corners. One of the rims has some curb damage and may need to be replaced

Interior is all there and with a cleaning will be nice (no rips in the seat and such)

So in your experience what would you say the car is worth?

thanks in advance

sorry about the blurry pictures. The motor hasn't been installed yet but will be in in the next couple of weeks. Oh and as far as the windows go, I'm the idiot who took out the motor with the windows down....

thanks for the input

HAHAHAHA you should be able to get like 3000 for it

unfortunately swaps don't add to much to the value even tho you spends lots of money and time on the car. Thats why you should never swap or turbo a car unless you are commited to it for life. The builder always looses out in the end.

from those pics, it looks to me like you need new window tint. but anywho, my buddy had a eg hatch with a b18c swap. he got around 3500 for it. but yours is in better condition than his. so i'd say around 4.

yep, exactly, mods and engine swaps add absolutely 0 value to the car. your car is worth about how much it says in kellys blue book.

if someone doesnt want to have to swap a motor themselves.. which a lot of people dont.. to them its worth more because it saves them the time and hassles.

Like said before, if you want a number value, the Blue Book is the value, add ons if add nothing, if anything they detract from the actual populace value, as who knows if the work was done correctly, and it adds a sense of possible abuse to the vehicle. Now the real world value is whatever someone will pay you for it. Generally it seems adding about 15-25% of cost of mods is about right.

the car is worth whatever someone is willing to buy it for ;)

Truer words were never spoken. Find the right dumbass and if you're slick enough you could get 5-6K out of him. On the other hand, your area may have a shortage of dumbasses with money and you might only get 3-4K.

tell them it was in the Fast and the Furious movies. it triples the value lol
