im planning on building an engine with the Dart block and head and was wondering with the propper tunning and parts if it possible to get 1000hp out of it???
 
yep, it's pretty easy actually. high comp pistons, some good cams and a lot of dyno tuning and you're there.
 
1000 hp with high comp pistons and cams, i think your shopping list is maybe a bit short. you forgot a good header (gotta keep that exhaust gas moving).

anyway, yes, you can hit 1000 hp on a 4 cylinder engine. Jotech out here in dallas is doing it on a dart block. its a difficult proposition that will make the car completely non-streetable, and it will take the exact right parts and a hell of a lot of time, tuning, and money.

yeah, i think kenny tran has his car with a t3/t4 turbo running about 10psi. he has almost 1050hp. i hit 800 with my last car.
 
lol....kenny's civic is closer to 40psi from what he told me two or three weeks ago.

he lied. he just wanted to sound cool. he text me friday and said 12 was pushing it, but the new pistons and block guard make it work.

NO fucking way. Youre going to need a lot of $ to be able to hit that.
The turbo alone is going to run you close to 2k.
Im almost at $13k and i still dont think i'll make it to 600whp with my setup.
 
T66, 40+psi, and a little person with a bucket of race gas sitting on the engine pouring it in. Should do it.
