unless, they've had years of experience working on cars, or went to school for it. I love the female gender and don't usually discriminate, but today got me a little peturbed. So as ya'll know I did my swap back in Oct and I had to use the crank pulley from my old motor on the type r. Doing so I had to buy the alt belt for the type r and since that fit nicely I got the ps belt for the r as well. Well it never did fit right (had some slack). So about a month after the swap I got tired of the squeal so I went back to Autozone to get the ps belt for the si, but was too short. So I went back and was helped by one of the female workers and asked her for the size in between the 2, She said "they don't make any sizes in between. Not believing her I went to another az and again was helped by a female clerk who said the same thing. 2 months later the squeal got annoying again so I went to another az in a a different city, and you guessed it, another female clerk who said the same thing.
So I get to thinking, they work in the store they have the computer to look up parts so they must know what they're talking about. So this past Saturday as I was putting back on my valve cover I decided to mess with the ps again. Still couldn't get it any tighter, so I told myself I'd probably just go buy another crank pully and tensioner. So today while I was at Acura picking up a stud for my valve cover sinced I over torqued one and snapped it, I asked them to get me a printout of the serpentine belts routing, figured I'd take a look and see if maybe I put it on wrong why I couldn't get it tight. Got home and it's right. Then figured I'd go to az once more. This time the manager is there and I asked him the same question to which he replied, "there's like 3 or 4 sizes in between the two". I looked at him as if I was crazy and said, "you're joking". He went to the back and came out with 5 belts, so I grab the 89.1cm belt went home and bam, no more squeal.
