Ok I know someone somewhere posted this but I can not find it.....I have

B16A PnP head with 93 B18A Block
EX wiring harness
95 dx hatch
P28 ECU
SKUNK 2 proseries mani
chikara header
Iceman intake
GSR oil pump

I hear all sorts of things like ARP rod bolts, Head studs, chip the ECU, bigger header, bearings, knock sensor.. ....... All these things make sense but in black and white..........what I need to know is what do I need and what do I want?
 
I'm getting tired of typing this stuff and I found it all on my own on here but I'll make a little list.

- Type r oil pump (GSR will work)
- B series vtec water pump (doesn't matter which one they are all the same)
- B series vtec timing belt
- Vtec oil feed no drill kit is nice
- ARP rod bolts are good to have but not needed
- PR3 pistons will make a BIG difference and are dirt cheap
- All mounts
- Shift linkeages from B series
- Axles for B series
- Half shaft from B series
- B series alternator and PS pump if you want those or don't yet have them.

That's a little list of stuff to swap in and make an ls/vtec. Not sure what you have already.
 
There are lots of threads on here for LSV builds. Just do a little more digging, it's here.
Like I said above I know its on here but I tried looking...it was a lot easier to verify....this post is for everyone cause there is no post on here that says what you need and what you want for an LS Vtec....for instance you do not need the water pump but it is more safe to have it and the timing belt only changes if you change the water pump......vtec pump vtec belt..non v pump non v belt..etc....its funny how everyone acts like it is taking up their time to reply to a thread but news flash you don't have to someone else will....you are on so obviously you got time........the whole reason for this site is to verify or find out whats up with your honda you act like you have something better to do.........and if so get of the computer hondaswap.com doesn't pay you per hour......

I have some JE pistons for a B16 but in order to put them in I would have to hone the block to get a good seal............I plan on putting the port n polished head on the stock LS block while I am building another block.....I hear it is dangerous but blocks are cheap out here...

Don't get all pissed off because people don't want to sit here and answer your questions that have been answered numerous times before. Do your research and ask more specific questions. With regards to your first post, last line... how are we supposed to know what you want? I wish hondaswap did pay by the hour, I could retire now off people like you and their stupid questions.
 
like i said above guy...if you don't want to reply don't I already know.....this posts is because everyones answers are based off of what they want but the question was what do you need for the swap...........and if it was such a stupid question then why you couldn't answer it???? Cause you don't know just like a lot of other Junior members........so get off the site if all you want to do is act like you know everything but you don't.............site is made for learning.....

To everyone else who wants to teach people like jonnyboy........again what do you need for LS/VTEC and what are the dangers you face if you don't do these??

You're right, this site is made for learning, that is why people do a little something called "searching" before they start asking generic questions like you. All I was trying to say was to do a little more digging and if you come up short, ask a specific question. You are right, I am a junior member, but I just didn't join this site two months ago. Good luck kid.
