Personally, I think double clutching is great, It kinda seems like there would be something faster though, to downshift smoothly, or is this the best way? I am new to racing at a track and would just like to know. Thanks

Dude, there is a good reason for double clutching. Not only does it save your driveline and tranny, but it also saves your syncros. Also, while entering a sharp turn at high speed, double clutching will provide a smoother entry instead of jerkin your car around.

And what is tha "no lift shift?"

i still dont no what double clutching is lol, but no lift shift is for drag racing, just once you floor the gas keep it there even while you shift lol

lol i know someone who did that on there licence test....they failed lol

but it does work well i must stay

personally i dont see the point in pressing the clutch twice when you could just push it hold it rev it to where you need it while you drop to your lower gear and then release the clutch. i mean correct me if im wrong

Actually, I'm pretty sure that it is good for racing, less jolting = no wipeout in a turn.
Makes sense to me. Heel/toe is good too.

Oh yeah, ALL of the old brittish sports cars and the like require double-clutching.
They don't even have synchros.

You know, something tells me that you have never even raced, at a track at least.
