Jerry Falwell is the most powerful christian voice in the US. He said that Katrina was sent by god to wipe out Gays, that global warming is because of gays and cross dressers, and coined the phrase "God hates fags"

Yet, he was not placed in jail, not run out of town, and more importantly - not fucking lynched for the fruitcake he really was.

He's basically me, only replace "gays" with "Italians". And he has the ear of half the south.

Got a problem with the dagos?
 
As you people know, I have problems with anyone. It's not a hate, but it's a .. strong dislike.

I don't have high ideas of Albanians (Because those fuckers are greasing up my whole town with their pseudo-mafia gang banging) and I have a huge problem with Islam (Those guys are just shitting all over the planet). But of these groups, I have found good people.

I have Albanian friends. Muslims friends.

But never, not once, have I EVER met an italian that didn't try to fuck me out of or into something. It's never happened.
 
Harsh, but on topic: Corporatized Mega-Churches have done more damage to Christianity than homosexuality and pornography combined ever could.
And now that I realize who you're talking about, Falwell is and always has been a piece of dirt. Good buddys with Bush though, hmmmm...
